Hello, all. I learned about this study this morning, and thought it might interest some of you. Here is a link to more information. It's a study for totally blind people who have trouble regulating their sleep schedules. sorry I do not know how to make this clickable. You will have to cut and paste the link into your browser.

That's really interesting! I know that there is existing research that indicates that children with optic nerve dammage are affected by sleep disorders and irregular sleep patterns signifacantly more than sighted children or children that have other kinds of eye conditions. This is because the optic nerves when working properly are able to synchronize the body clock-distinguishing between light and dark, night and day etc. Having optic nerve hypoplasia myself I had sleep problems as a child, but fortunately it did not extend in to adulthood. I have not heard of this happening but it seems logical and this will be interesting to read.
how cool:). thanks
I'm actually taking part in this study here in the U.S. I'm right now going through the screening phaise to see if I have the problem. If anyone has questions or anything feel free to contact me.
I can't participate in the study because the seizure meication I'm taking is restricted. damn topamax.
Oh wel, there may be other studies in the future, so i'm not too bummed out.
Years ago, I was disqualified from this study by high blood pressure. Now, am on a bunch of daily meds, and would never qualify. To those who can do it, Good Luck.
I don't know if I can participate because of all the meds I'm on, but I am signed up to receive notification if there is a clinical trial in my part of the country. There really is some truth to this stuff.
I think I ran across this study last week when I was looking for possible clinical studies to participate in to bring in some extra income.
